Marigold Mural
Annual Community Mural Project
hosted by Tlaquepaque in Sedona, AZ
Each year, Lovejoy paints the main design, and then for a week, the public adds their contribution to honor a loved one who has died. This has become a beautiful and healing project for all who participate. The mural is 24x6 feet and is temporary for Dia De Los Muertos. During the festivities, four years’ worth of murals are displayed. Many people come back to find their contribution and add it to the current year’s mural.

Another wonderful year, fabulous turn out, and loving dedications added to the mural. Thank you to all who participated!
This year’s mural was put away after the event due to rain. I will get better photos next year.
Marigold Mural 2023
This year was a wonderful turnout. We started on Saturday and due to how many people were contributing, We switched to markers only, by 2pm. It was a beautiful mural week, thank you to everyone who contributed! see you next year

This year we utilized the design from last year and added more. The square colors laid a wonderful structure for the public to add their contributions Thank you to all who participated.

To honor the social distancing & circumstances of covid in 2020, we had people write notes to pin to the “Tree of Life” Thank you to all who could and could not participate, It was a very intense few years for everyone.
